Children’s Day Celebrations

We celebrated Children’s Day together with the Gerlich Company on 24/06/2011.

The celebrations took place in the spirit of the next Olympic Games, to be held in London in 2012. Children in each of the ten groups represented ten member states of the Commonwealth under the leadership of a well-known English character - Harry Potter, Othello, Winnie the Pooh, A. Christie, Robin Hood, W. Shakespeare, John Lennon, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Petr Čech, the guest of honour, was the exception. Queen Elisabeth II also took part and officially launched these Olympic Games. 

In spite of the occasionally unfavourable weather, the games for the children (and their accompaniment) were interesting, everyone gave their best effort and the participants will most certainly remember them with pleasure.
